Collecting the States - 6 - Wisconsin

A postcard from Amanda. It is another state I needed to cross off my list. It kind of suits the stereotypes, huh? Dairy cows are a common sight up here, too. It just looks kind of peaceful. Here is the stamp:

Collecting the States - 5 - Connecticut

Another postcard that a nice Postcrossing person sent me when I messaged them mentioning I still needed the state. It is a great postcard for me, too. I love lighthouses! It is the Saybrook Breakwater Lighthouse. It was built in 1886.  Here are the stamps that were included:

19 - Postcard from Orlando

I got this postcard from Orlando, Florida, US. It is not the typical scene I get from Florida, so I really like it! Plus, it is very clear where it is from. It was received from postcrossing. I would love to visit Florida one day. It is nice to remember that tourist cities are not all touristy...

Here is the stamp:

17 - Postcard from Hawaii

This is a postcard from Hawaii from Jill. Thanks Jill! It will be a while before I get to Hawaii for my Collecting the States project, but I have a couple other postcards from that state to share when I get there. I am enjoying that people are going on trips and thinking of me!

Collecting the States - 4 - Nebraska

Nebraska! These are the four postcards I have received from Danielle from there. She is also the person that suggested I join Postcrossing. I am having lots of fun so far, but I am also corresponding with people I have known for years. Here are the stamps she included:

Collecting the States - 3 - Minnesota

Memory went to Minnesota and she found me a postcard to cross another state of my list. This is an original piece of art for the Minnesota State Fair. It is their poster and then they make it into souvenirs  to share with other people. And, look at the fun stamps:

10 - Postcard from Florida

This is not a 'Collecting the States' postcard. It is more 'I think it is cute and wanted to share'. I am not even entirely sure where it came from. It is not written on the back. It was just mixed in with all my recent arrivals. It kind of reminds me of my mother's cat Milo.

Unused Postcard.

Collecting the States - 2 - Delaware

One of my projects for 2012 was to collect a postcard from each of the 50 States of America. I am very close to completing this project! I thought I would count down and share what I have received/have from this project.

I emailed someone on Postcrossing to say I didn't have Delaware and she sent me a goodie pack of postcards. This is the collection she sent me from Delaware.

All of these postcards are unused, so no stamps this time.

Collecting the States - 1 - New Mexico

One of my projects for 2012 was to collect a postcard from each of the 50 States of America. I am very close to completing this project! I thought I would count down and share what I have received/have from this project.
This is my postcard from New Mexico. It was sent through a direct swap on Postcrossing.com. I messaged people that lived in the few states I still need and asked them if they would want a postcard from here in exchange for one from there.
