14 - Postcards from Las Vegas

My mother recently went to Nevada, well, Las Vegas really, and these were some of my favourite postcards that she brought back. I saved some for when I do Nevada for my Collecting the States feature, but I had to share these. I really like the rainbow shots, don't you? The third and second from the end are sparkly, but the scanner didn't really do that justice. I don't have a burning desire to go to Vegas, but I hope to go there one day!

13 - Postcards from The Hoover Dam

My mother was recently on a trip that included the Hoover Dam. A trip means postcards for me. These are the ones that she brought back from there. I was just going to select one or two favourites, but I think they all have something to offer to the overall post, right? I have to admit when you look at the Hoover Dam Bridge from the angle of the picture it looks a bit scary, but I would love to drive across it! And, really, the Dam is just an impressive feat of engineering and a part of history. Hopefully one day I will get to see it in person!

6 - Postcard from Dubai

My mother went to Dubai last year and this is the postcard she sent to me. She generally buys me some unused ones, but she also sends at least one used one from her travels. It doesn't actually elaborate on what this postcard is of, but I am thinking a hotel.
